Virtual Private Networks
The secure way to link your offices and home-workers transparently over the Internet. Once a computer in a remote location is attached to the network, it behaves exactly like the other computers in the office.
Encryptec utilises an Open Source software VPN product that can be used to connect computers securely over both local and remote / Internet based connections. It can act either as a trunking service to provide inter-connectivity for offices, or as a point-to-point connection for single PC's from remote locations.
We frequently use VPN connections to securely connect geographically
diverse telephone exchanges securely via the Internet. Although native
security protocols on VoIP PABX's can be questionable, once implemented
over a VPN they're pretty much bulletproof AND negate the need for
messing around with NAT negotiation for SIP devices.
We support both the Windows and Linux Operating Systems and both types of computer will happily co-exist on the same Virtual Private Network.
All traffic is routed over encryptec channels via a central server which typically controls firewalling for the entire VPN. Typically you will only need one firewall for the VPN as all traffic passes through this point. Note that we can configure and maintain more complex VPN's but as the number of combinations is infinite, an individual / tailored quotation will be necessary.
Prices
We include basic support in the price which includes support for installing the VPN software onto your workstation for the first time.
